Is this a powerful enough gaming desktop??!?!?!?
According to IBUYPOWER.com its powerful enough to run crysis 2 on max and battlefield bad company 2 on ultra. i don’t know enough about computers but this has all the stuff i want but then again i don’t know enough about comps to know if all the parts will work well together etc etc etc etc so a little help would be nice. Also if you guys think i should add anything of the things into the comp that has the word "none" next to it let me know

oh i just thought i should let everyone know that i decided to upgrade the video card to the 580 instead of the 480 better all around less now just as much power doesn’t heat up as much etc

SO, Core i7 960 and GeForce 480, With 6 GB of RAMs….
Now that’s a good gaming computer. Trust me, that’s far, far, more than enough.
Although, If I were you, I’d take the 2nd generation intel core i7 (socket LGA 1155) instead. the newer the better, man
The main thing to look at when buying a PC for gaming is
1. CPU or Processor…. AMD or Intel as long as it is 2.5 GHz or above
2. GPU or Video card…. ATI or Nvidia check youtube for gameplay
3. RAM or Memory… 3 GB or above at least
Remember the bigger the number the better.
and yes that is an awesome PC build you got there

The i5-2500k is cheaper and faster than the i7-950x. Also, the 2500k cpu overclocks between 4.3 to 5.2GHz (depending on your luck with cpu). 4.7GHz seems to be normal. (Very easy to do with the Asus board. Check youtube)
4GB of ram is more than enough. With your video cards, you really have 6GBs of ram (2GB dedicated to video).
The motherboard supports SLI and has a bluetooth transceiver.
You only need the Corsair 650w, but for $40 more, the 850w will give you more room to upgrade in the future if you decide to upgrade to SLI GTX 580s in a few years. Spending $40 now will save you from a $100 PSU later. Also, NEVER skimp on a cheap generic PSU. Cheap PSUs will slowly (or in a instant) degrade your hardware.
I changed from a GTX 480 to EVGA GTX 460 in SLI (dual video cards). This will give a 30% increase over the 480. GTX 460 in SLI is comparable to GTX 580 at a little over half the cost. If you want something even better, GTX 570 SLI will just obliterate the GTX 580, however, I would suggest getting a nice 2560×1600 so that you can at least take advantage of the graphics horsepower.
I added the Intel 80GB SSD ($188) as your primary and changed your 1TB as a storage drive. Install the OS/Software/Games/Documents on your SSD. You’ll visibly see the snap snap diffrence. Trust me, you’re going to love it.
Don’t skimp on the monitor. It’s like watching a Blu-Ray on a 480p TV.
